Day 12 There is not much to say today as we had a relaxing day and didn't do anything. Apart from a quick walk to the bakery I did not leave the gite. A series of swims and dips in the hot tub made a very pleasant day. Then steak for dinner, which was beautifully rare, to top off the day. The Caesar salad was divine as well. Day 11 Horrendous Saturday morning French roads cause very unhappy, hot, sweaty people. However upon arriving at the destination after some shopping we discovered the tranquility and beauty of mousselouns we were staying in a gite which was very nice a pool and hot tub cooled us off to then warm and massage us. Day 10 Another long day of traveling with a stop in Pisa. When we stopped it very good after the obligatory picture holding up the tower and a spot of shopping we were on our way again. Day 9 At 9:00 the shuttle bus departed. And after a ride on the metro we were at the colosseum but in the line we saw that no liquid was allowed into the colosseum so 2 litres of water later... we were in. Day 8 After leaving the volcano hotel we drove to Erculano parked and looked around Herculaneum after 45 minutes we got bored. (After all it was just stones.)
