Day 9 At 9:00 the shuttle bus departed. And after a ride on the metro we were at the colosseum but in the line we saw that no liquid was allowed into the colosseum so 2 litres of water later... we were in. Day 8 After leaving the volcano hotel we drove to Erculano parked and looked around Herculaneum after 45 minutes we got bored. (After all it was just stones.) Day 6 After our posh breakfast at a posh hotel we set off to Venice. We got the train from Venice Mestre which took ten minutes and we were in Venice, it was extremely hot. We soaked in the views and walked to the Rialto passing a rather cheap Italian restaurant and supermarket where a 1.5 litre bottle of water was 24 cents!!!
