Blog time!Having given the folks the scare of their lives we finally set sail toward the Canary Islands at around 16:30 yesterday afternoon.
The doors which separate our balconies from the folks have been opened and we, once again, have a nice space to sit and watch
the scenery go by. Yesterday evening was spent looking around the shops....there is an Effy Jewellery place on this ship too but David was thrilled
to learn that nothing leapt out at me this year. The blue diamond ring he bought me last year is still my pride and joy and i
love it. Barbara was hinting to Gary that she might need another purchase this year but, thus far, she has settled for some
new sketchers trainers for the both of them.Gary and Barbara watched some musicians in one of the on board entertainment bars last night whilst David and I TRIED to
get a seat around the bar at Crooners. We managed eventually and enjoyed our first cocktails and Martinis of the cruise :-)We then joined the other two for the trivia in Explorers bar and we were soundly beaten by a team of three who got full marks...Amongst ourselves we decided that we are going to have to up our game somewhat. Good news! Hardly ANY kids on this cruise, we
learnt a lesson with when to book that is for sure. There are lots and lots of very VERY old people but they are all uber cool and
tend to hate the swimming pools, hot tubs and gym which leaves much more room for us.That is really the end of the good news story for today becausse, sadly, Barbara woke up this morning drank a cup of coffee
and has been vomiting pretty much ever since. As I write, she is in bed trying to sleep it off. We are fairly sure it is
a motion thing and we have explained that if she will refuse to fly....she is going to have to sail through the Bay of Biscay
to get to all the nice places she wants to see!It is not really rough but there is certainly a small amount of movement. I was very good and did not take the photo I
was going to take of her curled around her cabin loo. It would have been blog gold dust but Barbara did look so unwell that
I could not do it.We are all hoping she will feel better later once she has slept. Meanwhile.... Gary, David and I all went to the gym and then
Gary went to some health seminar thing whilst David and I chilled out in the, adults only, Sanctuary pool and hot tubs.
It was awesome because there was no one else in there! Big news.... I am currently wearing a dress. (only because i am in my cabin and not amongst other people) and yesterday I wore
Jeggings and boots! Like...girly like!I am only logging in to our complimentary internet to post the blogs because we do not get all that many minutes.I hope every one is okay back in England! We have three sea days now (including today) before we hit our first port. We love
sea days! Nothing to do but relax and lose at Trivia. We lost again this morning to the same team who got full marks again.
David says he smells a rat......Oh little little wants to tell everyone that her room steward is not up to the usual standards that she has grown accustomed
to. He just dumped her and pew on the side board by the TV....Did not sit her up on her bed or in a chair. Discarded like a
common stuffed toy. She is very unhappy.Toodleloo! Sea day tomorrow too. Enjoy the photos of Gary and Barbara looking utterly shocked at finding us on board!
