Retired & Traveling
Rich dropped us off at the airport and we breezed through security with our TSA precheck, gotta love it! Grabbed a bite to eat at Wendy's and then after some people watching, we made our way to our gate. About 30 minutes before boarding, they changed our gate to another location, so it was a mad dash to get to the new one.
They announced that the flight was completely full, so we chose a seat with someone already sitting by the window and I took the middle. The flight was uneventful and we arrived right on time. Kateva was there to pick us up and since we were hungry again, we drove over to the beach in Ft. Lauderdale and found a cute restaurant, Boardwalk Restaurant & Grill, right on the beach to have lunch. It was a VERY breezy, cool day and we wanted to sit outside since it was so pretty, so we got a table that was blocking the wind and enjoyed ourselves.
We then headed back to the car and drove down the coast looking at different parts of Miami. We were going to try to get a drink in South Beach but the places to park were already full by this time, so we just headed to Kateva's apartment.
We freshened up at bit and headed out for drinks and snacks at a place called Dolores but you can call me Lolita's. Kateva's boyfriend, Chris, and his dad, Tony, and cousin, Eddie joined us about an hour later and we enjoyed getting to know them a little. They were visiting from the Northeast area, and were ready to go out to another location but we were all tired and headed back to Kateva's apt. where we chatted for a bit and then called it a day.
