Retired & Traveling
Since we didn't have to leave for our tour until 11:45 today, we all did our own thing in the morning. We toured the city of Cartagena, Spain with a visit to the ruins of a Roman theater. We learned about some of the history of the city, but the main focus was to eat and drink our way through town. We stopped at 5 different bars and at each were offered a drink of our choice (mine was always Sangria), and some type of tapas. We enjoyed an egg and potato dish, a Spanish omelette, a bean stew, paella, and a very strong and spiked coffee with cookies. We had a beautiful day, although I was a bit hot from the drinking and all the walking. :)) We made it back to the ship with just enough time for a quick shower and then we were off to dinner. My legs are swelling again--so frustrating, so after dinner, I opted to stay in our room and watch a movie on tv. Rich went to the hot tub and the Honnert's went to watch the show. Another great day!
