Look I know I snore but last night was awful. Those bloody Russians snoring in my ear hole. Gave the guy next to me a few nudges (and not like that before your perverted minds work overdrive). Hugh was next to me and I was already awake. He nudged me telling me to shut up snoring, I told him it was the guy next to me. I looked at my phone to see what time it was 1am, pitch black with all the creatures of the night making noise. Finally woke about 05:40 and it was a crazy scramble to get up and on with so many in the hut. Caught a Russian guy taking a bush dump behind the water tanks (scruffy toad), no water for me from here then! Set off to meet Steve for breakfast at the Yute. I walked the first 9km just off Channybearup Road. Started off well, thinking this is nice and flat. Then 2km in I hit all the trees that have fallen on the track, quite spooky because you have to climb over it all and not sure it's the right way. Steve had told me that Tiger & Dugite snakes bask in the sunny spots on the track. Great as all the trees that had fallen were in sunny parts. I was like a leaping gazelle over the first few then it became almost impossible to jump. The trees became full ones on the track so I found myself climbing. Slipped off a few and hurt my foot AGAIN! Crossed a road then headed the last part. Countered a brook I had to cross and the bridge wasn't there due to flooding. I looked on the map to make sure it was straight ahead I needed to go. Then BOOM, I'm up to my knees in s***! Came through the last part of the Karri Forrest and met Steve and Hugh. Made it in to Pemberton, well over half way now BUZZING! Just eaten a pie and cream cake in the bakery now sipping a Chai Latte next to a fire (not a bad morning). I do find it funny that every little town we go through user people that resemble folk from home it's quite weird I have to double take sometimes (homesick). Missing my boy today more than usual, sucks not having any reception or wifi, can't get in touch with loved ones back home!!
Arrived at Forrest Stay where we have another cottage. Adam the owner seems cool, he set all the fire up for us to dry our clothes. Just bought him a carton of Corona to say thanks. Currently sat in the farm yard under the tree on a bench talking to loved ones and writing this.
