I went to the kennel today while mum and dad went to Katherine gorge. It was ok but I would have rather gone to the gorge with them. Mum said it was awesome 6 hours in a canoe is her idea of fun. Dad wasn't so enthusiastic I don't think he liked it that much. They said that it was the best way to see the gorge and all its creatures including lots of crocs. Mum said they even saw a turtle. Dad told me that they went into a small cave to look at the water line from the wet season and as him and mum were discussing if all the wood caught up on the roof were roots of trees or just drift wood stuck up there a scary loud growl came out of the rocks 2 feet away. Mum laughed because she said dad said "time to back up" and furiously paddled backwards mum was just stunned and couldn't believe crocs made that noise. She tried to convince dad to go in more cave to try again but he wouldn't be in it. Mum admitted that it was a little scary because the croc sounded so angry and they were just in a little canoe.

We move on tomorrow and are heading for Mataranka and then somewhere nearby to camp. We will be heading towards the Queensland border now so I may not have phone range to blog. I hope everyone is ok and I miss you all very much. Standby for more of my adventures x x
