Today I overheard mum and dad talking about putting me in a kennel. I got really sad and then I got a bit grumpy. They were having so much fun swimming in the pool and all I could think of was that they were going to get rid of me. I didn't realise until after that they only meant for a day visit. I was so upset that while they were swimming in the pool in the caravan park I decided to run away from home. I opened the van door and jumped outside. I saw the next door neighbours but they didn't stop me so I wandered around the van and then walked towards the pool to see if I could find mum and dad. I got distracted by the billabong so I went and had a look at it. It looked so inviting and I have missed swimming so much I decided to jump in and have a swim. I forgot what the time was I was having so much fun. The park owners saw me and weren't too happy that I was off my lead. By this time mum and dad had gone back to the van and panicked when they found the door open. They ran around calling me and asking everyone if they had seen me and the neighbours told them where I was. I was so happy to see dad that I forgot about the kennel stuff and wanted to lick him but I didn't realise that the billabong was actually full of mud so I came out a little dirty. Mum was really upset because she thought that she had lost me down the river where the crocs were. I had to have a bath straight away and while mum and dad were doing that the park owner came over and told them off! It was so funny I laughed and laughed that will teach them to have fun without me. Least to say I ended up going to the kennel but it wasn't that bad.

Spike Hey Bandit, my sister Jess tried the "Great Escape" routine on Sunday - she slipped her lead and pretended to be deaf when Mum tried to get her back before she got off the oval under the trucks. Did your folks go a really funny color like Mum? Grey is such a cool colour on the humans. Anyway sorry about the short jail sentences but probably best as your Dad isn't enjoying the croc close encounters by the sound of it! Until next time - woof x
