The bestest travel journal ever :)
Whitsundays!!!
This was the best thing ever!!!
We had to pack a small bag for the three day trip, which was a mission and a half in itself... and then we traipsed up the road to the meeting point awaiting to see who would be on our boat. Me and Rishi were joined by James (guy from Fraser Island), Camilla and Charlie, Islay, Fabian, Omar, Two american guys, a couple of sweidsh girls (one's name was Svenja can't remember the other), a german guy and his miserable girlfriend, random fat guy and three really cool shipmates (naked chef, bimbo girl, and old man)...
We started off all chilling on the boat trying to remember everyones names... immediately we got to be really good friends with Charlie and Camilla and after about an hour - we were already telling each other life stories...
On the first day we went diving by this cove - this was okay - but the guy scared me by saying there was all this crappy coral in the water which could kill you... so i spent most my time trying to avoid touching anything.. we had to wear these stupid wet suits to protect ourw\selves from jellyfish... Rishi didn't go in the water so he stayed on the boat - which after 5 mins of being in the water I which I had as well.
That night we anchored and all sat chatting on deck - while naked chef (forgotten his name but was a right laught) literally got naked and started cooking us dinner (hence the nickname). But was a really good night - we all had fun and played tonnes of stupd games...
We invented/got told the chicken game... I would explain it but there's noises and hand actions which you wouldn't get. But anyways - it was fun.
Most of us decided to sleep up on deck - wasn't the best idea in the world as the wooden deck wasn't the most comfortable place in the world and it got kind of chilly as well - but was fun nonetheless..
Had the best breakfast ever the next day - the whole table was swamped with food - cereals, yoghurts, breads etc - though after breakfast lots of people got stricken with sea sickness.
We had music on most of the time - although there was a fight for whose music got played it was cool - heard JAck Johnson for the first time and really liked it by the end of the trip.
We went to this amazing beach (whitehaven beach) which had the clearest white sand and blue water - it was perfect. We had tonnes of fun - getting thrown in the air and doing aerial sommersaults - and playing stick in the mud in the water and chasing little sand sharks. Was very cool...
We also went on another dive by the corals this time - this one was amazing - the hugest big fat fish (bigger than me by tonnes) - it was amzing - the water was so cool and got to see so many cool fish.
We had another wicked night - amazing bbq - and just a greta night/. We started playing this game called paranoia (a bit difficult to explain but great fun) - and staying up pretty much most of the night.
On the last day we just made our way back lazily to Airlie beach - but it wasn't the end of the trip as we all planned to go out that night clubbing.
