Left our campsite in Broome to begin the south bound part of our journey. We refueled at the Roebuck Roadhouse and continued on to our campsite for the next four nights, at Barn Hill Station, Roebuck, on the beach. Barn Hill
Is part of the vast 430,000 hectare station known as Thangoo Station. They operate a caravan park as part of the farming industry that includes 8,000 head of Brahman cattle.
Just as we were turning off the highway to the road leading to Barn Hill we were pulled over by the police for a random breath test and license check - all good!
We arrived at our campsite around lunchtime and set up on the last power site available - we forgot this is a long weekend in WA. We passed the afternoon setting up, chatting to our neighbours and watching the sun set over the Indian Ocean yet again.
Still very hot up here so having power (albeit limited 6amp/hour power) is a welcome respite.
We BBQ'd dinner, as we do most nights, and escaped into our cool caravan to pass another pleasant evening.
Good night, sweet dreams from somewhere on the north coast of WA!
