Left our home (after 8 days) in Port Julia this morning. We are heading north towards Port Augusta and plan to make our way to the Ayre Peninsula. For our last day staying on the Yorke Peninsula we decided to take it easy. Gadi made me brekky - scrambled eggs and toasted wraps - and we indulgently watched two episodes of The Bridge. Today we explored the Copper Coast, in the northern part of the Yorke Peninsula. The area is known for its rich history of copper mining in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. We visited Moonta, a lively city filled with tourists enjoying the local pubs, tourist sites and shops. We spent the morning looking around at the Port Julia Easter Fair, which took place at the oval where we are camped. The local Progress Association, which looks after this camping spot, puts on this fair for campers and locals.
