We are still in Mount Gambier and started the day at the Lady Nelson Visitor Centre where they have a display about the history of the area. Then we spent a bit of time at the local market buying some locally caught smoked trout and sampling some deep fried spiral cut potatoes and lamb skewers. A slow start this morning and time for a cooked brekky of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon...I can see this is becoming a habit! Gadi spent a while fixing a few things - I am thinking he could start a 'Fix My Anything' business while we are on the road - and I cleaned out the car freezer. Um, I think the fact that there are two tubs of coffee ice cream as well as quite a few mint choc chip ice creams cones and only a couple of packs of frozen meat says something ...

This morning was blanketed in a white mist making almost nil visibility across the bay. We ate breakfast, packed up and crossed our fingers the car would be fine. And it was, thanks to my clever husband! We drove back to Portland to take care of some chores - to the dump point to empty the toilet (it has to be done!), then filled the van tanks with water, the car with fuel and the gas bottles with gas and importantly, purchased extra fuses for the car...just in...
