Sunday in Sydney on a glorious sunny day with no clouds in the sky so we decided to visit Botany Bay; site of Captain Cook's first landing. The bay is very picturesque so we walked and viewed the area. The ocean area was busy with divers and snorkelers enjoying the clear waters. Once we had explored the rock formations we settled on the beach; swimming and reading our Kindles, the perfect way to spend a Sunday.
After a couple of hours we ventured onto the rock platform to find a shaded area for our picnic lunch and discovered a ledge on the rock face that suited us well although, on completion, it was quite difficult to leave it safely and elegantly.
On the way home we shopped for barbecue food for supper and time to pack for the next leg of our adventure tomorrow.
The barbecue was superb; Louise has learnt from the master, and the evening truly relaxing.
