Fremantle Today began with a leisurely ferry cruise down the Swan River to Fremantle; very scenic with a commentary from the captain as we passed the sights. There were so many boats, several yacht clubs and some magnificent riverside houses; one sold recently for $54million. Rottnest Island Up and out to the pick up point for our trip to Rottnest Island. The first stage of the journey was a coach from just near our hotel to Hillary's marina in North Perth for the ferry. Only one other person was on board when we got on but we picked up a family en route. Gracetown to Rockingham Another leisurely start in our woodland site before driving the short distance to the Vasse Felix Winery. Although the Margaret River area has dozens of vineyards, this is the oldest and even so only dates back to1967.
