This morning we were off at 7:30, after we had picked up Lisanne at her hotel. it was raining and the road was wet, so she slipped whilst crossing the road, but luckily no car was near and, except for a dirt stain, nothing happened.
The landscape today was very different, slopes, mountains, lots of big trees, many sheep and cows and everything is very green.
We stopped at Bathurst at the post office to buy stamps and we bought some wine at Dan Murphy's.
We drove through the Great Dividing Range, with our highest point for the day being 1178 m. Suddenly Lisanne saw about ten kangaroos on a golf court. Totally unexpected, but very nice. Lisanne said that the Blue Mountains looked more like Grey Mountains today, because of all the rain and fog!
Just before Katoomba, we stopped for lunch to have a nice hot meat pie. It was only 20 degrees today, and raining, so something warm to eat is nice. At half past two we entered the suburbs of Sydney, after crossing the river Nepean.
At about four o'clock we were at the campground in Narabeen. Mirne's brother Frans met us there to take us to his apartment. He lives near the beach (on the Northern Beaches), so we drove to the beach to see the ocean. It was quite rough because it was very windy. Frans and Craig cooked us two nice meals from Hello Fresh and we waited for his partner Carlos to come home before we had dinner. Then Frans drove up back to the campground.
We drove 422 km today and it was only 21 degrees for a change.
