So poor Lis had to go to work and the rest of us headed for Sydney for our city visit
John and The Aus4 went to Manly on the ferry Queen Mary 2 was in the harbour which was fabulous to see :-) It was 31 degs and beautiful sunshine at Manly beach and we had lunch in the sunshine soaking up every ray we could before coming back to England with - temperatures :-(
We made our way back to central station to meet Lis and booked in to our amazing apartment which Lis and John had booked for the night in Sydney It was 67 floors up ( it is the building with the blue light on in the photograph attached to this blog )and had 2 walls of glass! It was so huge especially the beds which were 8ft wide! Chris and Leonie came to meet us and we all got ready to walk some of the city before we went for our meal ..........at Centre Point!!!!!!
If we thought the view from the apartment was good then the view from the restaurant was breathtaking! We saw the sunset and then because the restaurant revolves we saw the whole of Sydney by night The food and the whole atmosphere were amazing and one which we will remember for a very long time
We then went to the Sydney RSL club for a few drinks and walked home looking at the sights to the apartment where it looked as if we were above fairy land :-)
Today the girls went shopping ( Dad will know how much we will have loved that :-) )
The boys have all gone to Canberra to visit one of Paul's friends from his Navy days and are driving back tomorrow morning early in time for us to get to the airport
So apart from maybe a sneaky Changi message this is probably the last blog folks!
It has been an amazing adventure with lots of stories which we will bore you with for months to come lol
See you all too soon xxx
