Took the local service train into Sydney in plenty of time to check in for our overnight trip to Adelaide, via Brokenhill, to find that the train had been delayed and was running approximately 4 hours late!

Still, we went into Sydney and had a beautiful lunch overlooking a square/through link, so Paul & I could partake of our favourite pastime of people watching :-)

We've been allocated our 'rooms' Hahahahahaha!!! They are so tiny that poor John will have to sleep doubled up!

They are about 3 feet deep and approximately 6 feet long!
It houses two seats, that are covered once the bottom bunk is lowered, with a small sink as well?

The top bunk then lowers from the ceiling! I'm not sure how you're meant to get into the top one whilst the door is closed, yet.... but hey!!

Our train is now due to leave at around half six, instead of 3.15 so we've a bit of time to make up enroute?

Newsflash **** We have just left at 18 28 ..........3 1/2 hours late !!!!! Bring back British Rail lol This of course means we will now spend most of the journey in the dark :-(

All was not lost though as Lis, John and Dee escaped , found a bottle shop and bought some pre dinner drinks and nibbles ;-) It is now going to be interesting when we get to Adelaide as the car hire company will be closed ..........que sera sera :-)
