So off the train and onto a bus. 30 minutes of winding hairpin turns to reach the summit. We pile out of the bus and start the short, steep steps to see the city... We get to the end of the path and there she is... The Inca city of Machu Picchu laid out before us. It's more complete than I thought. It's a large city, structurally and thoughtfully built into the mountainside, surrounded by an exquisite series if mountains. We didn't have the pain/joy of hiking I but no matter how you get here its extraordinary. We walked up, down and all around with our guide, the Incas used 16 different constructions styles building the city. There are sections for different people... Upper and lower classes, gods and farmers. We spent the whole day wondering and really happy with the trip.
