Ok so the photo is actually from yesterday... Atop Sugar Loaf but I haven't uploaded today's efforts... Today is our last day in rio as we head home tonight on our long journey. Today we headed off on a favela tour. It was nice to see a little more of the real Rio. Copacabana is like Bondi in Sydney - shiny and good for tourists but not a very true indication of the city. So heading away from here was good. I think most impressive part is the wiring up there... Wires everywhere! Apparently the government has replaced most of them but they don't want to cut the old ones just in case. Rio is a nice city, beautiful to look at and great for a holiday but I'm sure on its liveability. Farewell Rio, we are bound for Buenos Aires, Sydney and then, finally Melbourne. See you all in about 42 hours...
