Today we crossed the border into Malawi. Unfortunately, the truck broke down for a couple of hours and we were the entertainment for a fairly large group of children on the road side. They wanted a football, or our shoes, pens, anything really. We did have a football on the truck but Biggie, our guide advised not to give it to them as it would have caused a war - apparently the children were from a few different villages.
We have been travelling for two days now since leaving Zanzibar. We stopped of at a campsite on Saturaday night called crocodile camp, It was a good site with just us there but we were woken on 5 am by a very disturbing sound. We thought someone was being assaulted. Our tents were very close to each other so we all started whispering - what shoud be do? Stay in our tents or investigate? We decided to stay put and wait till day break an hour later. When we got up we searched the site for blood .... apparently a goat had got stuck in our swing bin and the noise was the goat as it was distressed to have the bin lid stuck round its neck... Shame we missed it as it would have been hillarious. Last night we stayed at a very cool camp site called the Old Farm. It is run by and English guy called Mark. They laid on a brilliant dinner for us and we relaxed in the comfy bar afterwards but as usual it was an early 7am kick off so an early night was had by all.
Tomorrow we will get to Kande Beach in Malawi were we will spend several days. I will hopefully be able to upload some picutures there.
