Leaving Lake Powell we drove to Bryce Canyon National Park in Southern Utah. Arriving at 12 noon we lined up for lunch in the restuarant where we had resevations. Having become wary of the American serving size we shared fish and chips. Just as well because one plate was large enough for two. Then we had 2 hours of free time to explore the sights. Bryce is everybody's favourite (not mune, I like Monument Valley) and I could see why. It is not a real canyon in the sense of the word but a collection of amphithetres. However it is at 2700m elevation and I found walking just a bit difficult. So I passed on the opportunity to walk down the tourist trail. Then we set off for Zion Canyon where we were accomodated in a lodge. On our way to dinner we found elk already resting on the lawn.
