It is a good morning for the start of our trip. Margaret and I are leaving Brisbane bound for Hong Kong. Rob and Annie picked us up at 7.00 am for an early check-in, which we achieved before the crowds arrived. Getting through security for me on this occasion was a breeze because BAC now has Xray screening, so I did not have to undress. The downside was that we had a three hour wait in the Qantas Club. However we boarded on time and with Tattinger champagne in hand we bid farewell to Brisbane. We arrived in Hong Kong on time and were amazed at the size of the airport, but it was orderly resulting a very quick entry. We were driven to the Hotel Kowloon in the hotel limo, which took 30 minutes. I felt a bit intimidated by the city itself, the sheer size of buildings and other structures was quite imposing, all compacted into a very small area.
