The bus was pretty crappy for the whole 8 hours and when we arrived to Chiclayo the taxi man took us to this hotel we didn't even want him to, blatantly he worked for them or had some sort of commission thing going on! Turns out it actually wasn't too bad, nice shower and had cable TV so got to watch Chelsea batter Spurs 4-2 so that was a nice end to an awful day of travelling!! We did a tour to the Sipan temples and pyramids around Chiclayo which the hostel booked for a cheaper rate and it wasn't too bad. Saw a lot of the pyramids that the Sipan people used to worship in and then all their burial chambers that were still being discovered! We did it with these old Aussies who I actually think were retarded!! we walked up this mountain which took us 10 mins (them 25) and then when me Joel and Laurie walked to the summit they moaned at us on our return as we took too long and they wanted to go to the museum!! Were sorry it took you 15 minutes extra of our time to walk up the mountain, think they forgot their Zimmer frames!!! And when we got to the museum the guide was telling us stuff and then 2 minutes later they were questioning what he told us!! Kept asking if the copper was gold, actual special needs people! We went back and got a late bus to Trujillo which was meant to have this Chan Chan ruins that were really good. We arrived there at 1am and everything was shut so we checked into a ropey hotel that was right next to a busy road so none of us got much sleep. The less said about the Chan Chan ruins the better, worst thing I have ever gone to see on our travels a complete waste of a day!! I ate some street food which was awesome for 50p before we got a night bus, probably the most comfortable bus we have ever been on, think it was too comfortable for Laurie as the guy he sat next to shook his hand when he left, and he still hasn't mentioned the journey to us.... We got to Lima early doors and had a little nap before wandering around the town. We hadn't heard good things about Lima but it was a really nice place, quite similar to Australia and an affluent place. I think we arrived on the only hot day which was sweet. Had a ping pong tournament in the evening, Laurie and Joel crashing out in the first round whilst I made it to the last 16 before crashing out the Israeli number 1, just another sport I have found to be better than Joel and Laurie at. We got on it that night and me and Laurie were a state drinking far too many slush puppy things and shandys. As a result were pretty hanging so went and skyped Ruth for a few hours and spoke to Lee which was cool. Spoke to his girlfriend we all thought was made up too so it's good to hear she is actually real. Went back to find Laurie still in bed at 1800 calling for his Mummy, always been a lightweight. Watched Source Code which was amazing and Paul before hitting the sack about 2300ish, not sleeping till 1am due to that bar being packed (can't manage 2 nights in a row these days). Woke up at 0430 to the guy above me falling out of his bunk bed!!! He was so wasted could barely speak or walk and when he went for a slash he didn't lift the seat up so went all over the floor!! Not really sure what sort of person would sleep and piss in places...!
