After a slightly rough landing at Christchurch airport, Dad packed us all on a corolla and headed out Christchurch quickly. We are not too keen on feeling any rumble there. First stop will be Akaroa. Lots of farm and sheeps on the way then the road starts to wind up and down. I think Mum really is in trouble. Her NZ jr wooper just won't go away. Too make things more interesting, Dad took a wrong turn to go up a scenic route which has absolute gorgeous view down to the turquoise water of the rugged Akaroa bay. At last we arrived at the Olive Grove B&B. The hosts, Annette and Chris, are so friendly. Our room has a little cot for me. I really like it. Not that I'm going to sleep in it! But I like to sit in it to play the puzzle and read kids books that Annette put there for me. Meanwhile, Dad disappears downstair to do some olive tastings. This place is very interesting. I can hear the sheeps calling bah bah and cows moo. I've got to see them tomorrow. Mum feels a lot better after resting in the very comfy bed so we head out to town which is only 10 minutes away. We walk along the shore of the Akaroa bay. It's a quiet town. I really really hate sitting down by now so when we reach the little lighthouse, I jump down from the stroller and run around and around.
