Mt Cook. 3754m. Highest in anz. That is where we are heading today. Soon we go around the unbelievably blue lake Pukaki and admire the impressive Southern Alps with its glaciers. But mountain weather can change very quickly. By the time we get to base camp, Mt Cook, also known as Aoraki, is shrouding in dark cloud and the wind really picks up. The rain is now flying horizontally! But the rain is light, so of course we off for a little hike! But I hate the kangaroo pouch Dad tries to put me in so he has no choice but to let me sit on his shoulders while we climb up to the monument. At least we have some photos that we are some where near Mt Cook. Now I'm more than satisfied with our achievement and cannot wait to get down! Another 2 hours to our next destination, Wanaka
