Arthur in Arizona
Hey everyone! Little update about me and my training.
i just finished my last flight on the Piper Archer, scored a 100% on my final test. Now I'm waiting to start on the twin engine, the Piper Seminole.
Both aircraft got the same type of engine, a Lycoming IO 360 B4A. The seminole has around 360 horsepower, twice the thrust of the Piper Archer. The Seminole also got a T-tail, which makes it more dangerous during stalls. And a big upgrade: changing from a fixed pitch propellor to a variable pitch propellor. What does that mean? On the Seminole, we got an extra lever with which we can vary the pitch of the propellor, in simple words: change the RPM.
