Hey folks! As you may know, we were headed to Palenque from San Cristobal. The bus journey was about 5 to 6 hours and we set off at 11am, so arrived in Palenque early evening. We got advised (again from Adam and Rick!) to go stay in the jungle resort El Pan Chan, so we didnt hesitate to head there, and check in at the jungle palace dorm rooms. Heyyy Chico´s! So leaving Puerto was abit of a downer, meeting all those cool people and leaving them!:( but that just means a new adventure and more people to meet! It seems that most people traveling through Mexico either up or down, between Palenque and Puerto, stop off at San Cristobal..and we knew we were headed towards Palenque so it seemed daft not to stop off for atleast a day and check the town out! We arrived in puerto escondido feeling very ill and very tired! Ryan, Allister and Alex were feeling the effects of undercooked mexican food, and it was no fun at all!
