HI again people!
So we got to Mexico city bus station, and the plan really was to head to Cancun, this is because we were really tired all the time from bus journeys and lack of sleep so we really just wanted to get to a nice beach and chill with some beers!
Although while waiting in the station and on the internet, we had some advice to change our plans from our fellow travelers Rick and Adam! They basically told us it was going to be really expensive and full of American tourists, and it would be better to go there for like a short holiday..not traveling!
So we changed our tickets for Acca! This meant we had beaches and beer, and it was less traveling too. We arrived at about 3/4am which was earlier than we got told we would get there..so we didnt miss out on having to pay for a hostel that night, and we still had to sleep! This proved difficult for Al mainly, as he couldnt fit in the 6ft by 6ft square box with two sets of bunks in it!!
So after trying to get some shut-eye, we headed to the beach which was more or less outside the hostel..we werent too chuffed with it though, it was quite rocky and there was green foam in the water! We spent a few hours there anyway and went back to chill at the hostel with a couple of beers, overlooking the streets of loco acapulco! Just like the song guys!
At the hostel that night we met a guy from austrian called thomas who told us about this little quiet resort called Pie De La Cuesta just 20mins away in a taxi, so we decided we would head there first thing after check out in the morning.
Thomas told us where he had stayed too, a little hotel called quinta blanco, so we just went straight there. It had a pool and an ok sized room, with two double beds ( this wasnt pretty people ) lol although the toilet/shower room was not a decent size and the toilet faced a wall, but the wall was round about 7 inches away from the seat!! Us lads find ways of managing though. It had a fan too, so this meant Ben could check that it worked, and then we could find out where the local Doctors was! It´s not his fault though, the fan wasn´t classed as low, Ben´s arms are just too long compared to the locals!
We didnt know that the resort was for local Mexican people though, so we found it quite hard communicating, but with a few hand signals and diagrams, we just about coped! lol We basically just totally kicked back and relaxed at this place..it was 100yards from the beach, which had a few bar/restaurants, and hammocks tied up under little palm tree shacks! The water was so much better than in Acapulco, as was the sand! So we had a much better time here.
We could have probably stayed for a few more days if there werent other places to see, and if the local wierdo Benjamin ( El Capitain ) wasnt chasing us arounfd the beach everyday asking us if we needed anything and basically waiting at our side. This guy told us that the beer was 20 pesos, but then showed us the menu which said 15 pesos, and after running to someone elses bar, and getting us beers all day, he still tried to charge us 20! His friends laghed at him, he must have just thought of a money making scheme and not pulled it off! lol
Adios for now chico´s! xox
