Today we left Phuket and took a flight to Bangkok. After waiting some time for the bags to come from the carousel we took the airport express train to the city centre and then connected to a different train to get to our hotel. For some reason all the tourist maps had every other hotel on them except ours. We were lucky however that I spotted the hotel just as we pulled into the train station. We arrived at the Renaissance Hotel Bangkok. We checked in and went up to the room. Being on the 15th floor we had quite a good view of the city. We decided to go up to the rooftop pool to have a swim. Like the hotel the pool was also very nice - a bit chilly though. We chilled out a little bit and then went to find some dinner. We took a couple of recommendations from the hotel that were walking distance and headed there. We were particularly looking for a Thai restaurant but we stumbled on a small Japanese eatery and ate there. We then went back to the room and went to sleep...
