Today marks our last day in Melbourne before our 12 hour bus to Sydney. After storing our luggage we went out to explore one more time, on our walk we saw China town, Batman park (the founder of Melbourne with a great last name) before going to the Eureka Skydeck.
The skydeck is the 14th tallest residential buildings in the world at 297 metres that's 91 levels. From the top you could see a 360 degree view of Melbourne with the main sites pointed out. As always seeing a city from that height is amazing and always looks beautiful. We decided not to pay for the EDGE experience which is a box suspended away from the building and made of glass, it seemed like a waste of money and was treated like a theme park ride.
We decided to continue on to Flinders street station and while crossing the bridge I noticed it was covered in padlocks, so here was where we decided to place our 4th padlock. Just a recap 1- Lovelock bridge in Paris, 2-Great wall in China, 3-Osaka castle in Japan and now 4-Flinders bridge in Melbourne. Continuing on to Flinders street station which is an iconic building to visit while in Melbourne, as it was the first railway station there and has incredible architecture.
Before we knew it our time was up so we grabbed a salad for dinner and returned to the hostel to prepare for our 12 hour bus journey. Leaving at 8pm and arriving in Sydney at 8am...Bye bye Melbourne.
