Day 103 - Back at Christchurch AGAIN, however gave the jailhouse a miss this time and opted to stay at Base in town. Didn't really do much as there isn't much to do in Christchurch. Had an Indian at the place next door and then trekked all the way to the other side of town to go to see Batman at the cinema (with Anthony very excited) only to find that it was full up already as it was cheap night. Day 99 - Headed off out of Wanaka and stopped at a wierd mirror and puzzle maze...it had a massive maze in the garden which was far too early to tackle, and puzzles/mirrors. To be honest the best part of it was the $3 bacon sandwich afterwards. Skydiving was again cancelled that morning due to bad weather, however luckily Anthony had already decided that it was most likely to be cancelled anyway so not to go. Day 98 - Another early start and we headed off on our way to Wanaka. Arrived there early afternoon and our bus driver Reele asks if anyone wants to go skydiving that afternoon. Anthony spontaneously jumped up and said that he wanted to! Day 105 - Got up early to catch the Kiwi bus up to Kaikoura. Met our new bus Smiley, who funny enough was always smiling and headed off. About an hour down the road we got to a road which was completely flooded so no way through. So I though that we would just go a back way through...but no....they don't have back routes in New Zealand. One main road and that is it apparently! 96- Up nice and early with a few sore heads going round we stopped at the Bushman's Centre where we got an insight into how people made a living on the coast with helicopter deer recovery, which is basically a guy jumping out of a helicopter to catch a deer so they can be farmed.
