Day 99 - Headed off out of Wanaka and stopped at a wierd mirror and puzzle maze...it had a massive maze in the garden which was far too early to tackle, and puzzles/mirrors. To be honest the best part of it was the $3 bacon sandwich afterwards. Skydiving was again cancelled that morning due to bad weather, however luckily Anthony had already decided that it was most likely to be cancelled anyway so not to go. After all the excitedment at the puzzle muesum we headed to Queenstown (finally), with some good scenery along the way...places where Lord of the Rings was filmed and a lot of snow covered moutains. Before we stopped off at our hostels we went to the AJ Hackett bungy place when Anthony was all booked to do a jump! Watched a film 1st of how the bungy started...and then its was Anthonys big moment! He got all suited and booted while I waited at the side to watch. Anthony would here say that I chickened out but there was no way that I was going to jump off a bridge with a piece of ribbon round a towel which was wrapped round your ankles and attached to a piece of string. I didn't care if there string had never snapped...there's a first time for everything and noing my luck....While watching Anthony preparing to jump I noticed that it was taking quite a while and that the guy was looking like he was trying to talk him into it (Anthony later corrected me that they were actually talking about football!). After about 8 mins talking football he jump and was rescued by the boat at the bottom and was on an adrenaline rush for the next couple of hours! After..got to the hostel ad got ready for a big night out. The whole Kiwi bus started in the bar below the hostel, and started playing a ping pong game. If someone put a ping pong in your drink you had to down it...like the game that we play back home with a coin. Teamed up with Sally and Paul and 2 Germans from our room and headed off to World Bar, where they served cocktails in teapots! Had a few drinks, however really finding it hard to get drunk on NZ shot sizes!
Day 100 - After a bit of a sleep in as got in quite late after drinks, headed out to the town for a bit of exploring. Town probably being a strong word as it was quite small...bought myself some earmuffs and Ant got a hat as it was freezing! Went back to the hostel were I down the washing while Ant watched a film and just spent the night chilling out with Sally and Paul. Much quieter day than yesterday!
Day 101 - Up early for the four hour drive to Milford Sound. And with Milford Sound supposing to be the number 1 attraction in New Zealand we were quite looking forward to it. How wrong we were....We drove four hours to sit on a boat on a lake for an hour and not see anything apart from 2 seals on a rock. We could of been on any lake...I didn't need to drive four hours to get to ithis certain one. The 1 good thing was the waterfall that we were able to get up really close to, which was cool. To top it off we went to an underwater observatory on this lake...we was down there for 5 mins and saw nothing but some tiny fish. Then on top of that we had a four hour drive home with our bus driver K2 who would not stop talking over the mic when ppl were trying to sleep to make the 4 hours go quicker! On the way home drived through a tunnel that had been made in a massive moutain which was probable one of the higlights of the day!
Day 102 - Anthony was suppose to be up and out at about 8 to go and do his Nevis bungy jump (the really big one)...however I woke up at 9 and realised that he hadn't left yet so woke him up. His response being that he had missed it and slept through the alarm!! Yeah right!! I had asked him the night before if he wanted me to wake him up, but no said that he would be fine! I think he just chickened out myself but he wasn't having any of it! Spent the day round the town again and grabbed a Fergburger for dinner (famous in Queenstown). Had a few drinks downstairs and to bed resonably early as leaving for Christchurch tomorrow (de ja bloody vu).
