I forgot to mention that last night, the reason I slept so well was that not only did we get wine with our meal but the waitress gave us each a massive glassfull of whiskey which knocked us both out for six!

Anyway we wer both sleeping quite nicely when the bloody waitress comes and wakes us up at 7am to give us breakfast. Now you might think that is pretty nice but considfering we still had over 12 hrs to go and the breakfast was just a massive sugar fix we both would have preferred to sleep..lol.

The next few hours were amazing. We had met a lovely american girl who spoke spanish so saved us from being completely lost most of the time and also gave us some great tips on what we could get up to on our trip. The bus journey took us through the mountains which began as rocky desert type mountains and progressed to being snow filled and utterly amazing. It really did make that long journey worthwhile. I cant quite explain how beautiful it was!

Finally we arrived in Santiago and found our hostel which had promised us a jacuzzi. Well there was no jacuzzi but it is absolutely lovely. The beds are clean and the showers are hot....plus fre coffee....did I mention the coffe is amazing out here, we are both hooked!

The rest of the evning was spent trying in vain to sort out a ski trip but I thing we have realised it is just out of our reach finacially. We havent quite given up on the idea and so hopefully we can sort something out tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
