Hello from the hamledges!

Our final day of south-France b&bs is upon us! On our way to our place near the south-west border of France/Spain we stopped in at a little city called Pau pronounced po like "eh oh po, eh oh tinkywinky"). The tourist office lady sent us out on a tour of the industrial area with her promise that a cool tour de France festival thingy was being held there. Instead we wandered aimlessly in the extreme heat and then got back in the car and left. Good one ya muppet!

At about 6pm we arrived at what we thought was our accommodation, thinking "finally we have arrived at a place before 8pm" only to realize that google maps had taken us to a completely different village and we were actually still an hours drive from our place! We then decided to rely on our lonelyplanet map instead, only to find it had a mistake in it... Which we noticed around the time we rounded a corner and found ourselves cruising through Spain! Woops! We finally arrived at the right place and were greeted by the American owner (booyeah more English speaking!) and shown to our amazing room, with a skylight and huge bathroom.

We had a fairly quiet night and then got up to the best breakfast we'd had, which was our first cooked breakfast, overlooking the surrounding valleys with the gentle sound of a flowing river to accompany us. Now off to Biarritz for some beach time!
