The last early morning swim, the last excellent breakfast, packing of bags, and sail into Bodrum to disembark.
Kerry & Trish headed off immediately, the crew keen to send my suitcase with them! Rescued before off on its own adventure again.
Peter & Mary dropped me at the Azka Hotel at Bardakci Koyu in Bodrum. Big rooms, nice pools, on beachfront. Not as nice as Marina Vista, but then not as exxy either!!
It's in an area of Bodrum I haven't explored, & a 20min hike each way, with REAL hills, from the Marina. I've done it both ways this afternoon.
Turkish sailing buddy I crewed with on the Aegean Rally a couple of years ago, is nursing a boat with engine problems between Symi & Marmaris tonight, so for 2nd year in a row our planned catch up foiled. :(
A quiet night instead, ready for the local bus trip tomorrow. I need to get to the depot early so it's the chooks on top of the bus, not me & suitcase!
