Stinking hot as we lost breeze coming into Bodrum Marina, to moor a final time in front of the castle. We bade farewell to the crew of Tanem who have looked after us brilliantly. If anyone is contemplating an extraordinary gulet experience all of us aboard would endorse this specific boat as being a standout.

Lou and Anthony leave today, the rest of us checking into the Marina Vista Hotel, right on the Marina, enjoying the pool on a stinking hot day....around 38 degrees. My daughter Emily arrived from Oz, & friend Hazel from the UK.

All reassembled for drinks moving three times to find somewhere cool, then a taxi ride to the hills beyond Bodrum to eat at Kafedaki Restaurant (www.kafedakibodrum.com). Sitting outside, with views over the city and out to sea, the food and wine list were excellent.
