Jambo :-)

Sorry my blog posts haven't been very frequent!

It was jasmines birthday on thursday so we had a BBQ and then went to the local club, Via Via and did some interesting dancing to the 'sound of the serengeti'! Was really cool and quite an experiance, the place was full of Mzungus though! The work the world staff really made an effort with her birthday and made her a card and a HUGEEEEEE cake which was gorgeous. Apparently they do that for everyones so bring on 7th July!!!

On friday we had the day off placement and went to Paradiso orphanage. There are about 18 kids in total who live there and it is such an amazing place (in a VERY deprived area)! we were thinking of things to occupy the kids and when we got there all they wanted to do was play with our cameras, hence why my picture total is now 400 (in almost 2 weeks!!!). We also did colouring and sang songs etc and they were all beautiful children and so happy :-) The only downside to going was that the lovely owner insists on feeding you these chapaties (each one weighing as much as me!) and there are so many of them so we had to smuggle some out in lauras bag so we didn't throw up (or offend her by leaving them). So the jouney home was...interesting!! We are going back sometime this week.

The weekend was spent doing not alot, we went to this nice resturant on saturday evening and the cinema on sunday to see iron man 2 as there is a few birthdays coming up that needed celebrating.

Today we were back in placement, 4 deliverys and other cool stuff happened so the shift went pretty fast. Yet again, i won't go into details as the majority or readers would rather not know so nana and mum, email me if you want the gory details!!!

Safari on friday....exciting!!
