Hello! Not much had gone on since the last post, just placement and sunbathing! Had a wonderful birthday, thank you for all the messages!

Main thing to write about is ZANZIBAR!!!!!! It was absolutly amazing and simply paradise. We flew on thursday from arusha airport (the smallest airport ever!) and got there in time to watch the amazing sunset on the beach :-) our rooms were lovely for 20$ a night so we were happy :-) The sand was just white powder and the sea a bright turquiose colour with those wooden boats i have only seen in google pictures! Had a lovely tea of zanzibar style curry and headed to bed.

The friday we woke to amazing blue sky so wolfed breakfast down and got sunbathing for the entire day! Saw some cool sea creatures and then headed for dinner and decided to have seafood even though one of the girls in the house had got food poisoning while she was there but i tucked into octupus, squid, prawns and many others and was absolutly fine and it was gorgous! Also managed to try lobster which is gorgeous too, developing expensive taste!

Saturday was the snorkling trip to mnemba island which was the best day ever! Got the boat out which i thought i was definatly going to be sick but managed to keep it down unlike one of the girls we went with manages to throw up all over my towel and in my flipper! needless to say we swapped for the rest of the day! We spent about 2 hours snorkling and then had a fish bbq on the beach which was so cool! Spent the rest of the day on the beach and watching the vollyball and the football (world cup, not beach!)

Sunday we went over to kendwa to meet up with some other girls we had met in arusha so that was a pretty chilled day on the beach and got the boat back to do yet more sunbathing! needless to say i am a very different colour now to when i left thank god! Had our last meal of lobster thermidor, watched the world cup final and went to bed!

Monday we flew home via Dar es Salaam back to reality and i am back in placement today :-( only 12 more sleeps till i am home though! gone so fast!
