Stayed in Port macquarie with julie..Vikki's friend! Cute little place and somewhere we may have not seen if it wasn't for having someone to visit there!!
After a very LONG boring 6 hour bus journey, We arrived from Sydney about lunch time where Julie picked us up! We were totally shattered after such an early morning and travelling Julie dropped us at her flat and we had a sleep while She went back to work for the afternoon.
We then headed to the beach house to meet her about 4.30...where the evening just got started, We had a great night and the best pizza...it was SO good!! We ended the night in the local bar/pub place where they had a DJ! Vikki and I got some great news...'the mums' had just booked their flights to NYC ! They will come out to spend our last week with us...OR to make sure we come home because we are enjoying it so much! lol! So excited
On the saturday morning, we just did bits and bobs...Suffering with a hangover!! Went to another vineyard which made me feel worse Lol and country show - we got there just has they were starting to close down and we were let in for free!! Great show...proper Aussie farmers there!! Had tea and cake and headed back!!!
In the evening we went on a sunset cruise along the river, which included fish and chips and BYO wine, with Julie, Scott and Steve. I was hoping so much to see dolphins and we did...right near our boat...but camera wasn't quick enough to snap at them!!
On the Sunday we went for a drive along the coast stopping at all the beaches for views before going to Dunbogan for a BBQ with some of Julie's friends and their kids!
They have a house right on the beach and James took us 4x4 driving along the beach. They have two great kids, Jordan 6 and Robbie 4. They was great fun, even shy little Rob came out of his shell for us and really took a shine to the girls as he called us!! Lol
After the BBQ, we all went on the beach and in the sea to play with the kids!! Then James took Vikki and i to the view point...big brother, Medium brother and little brother ...which are more mountains but with a great view! Then on the way back he took us off roading along the beach and up and down big bumpy sand dunes. Great fun...can wait for Fraser Island now!! That night we headed for mexican!!
Next Stop Byron Bay...in the rain!!!!!
