Howdy again...sorry I have been so rubbish with my blog but Australia is just full of adventures day by day and I don't want to be sitting on a computer for hours when i could be partying...selfish i know! Lol! But hey i am now dedicating some time to this thing so you know what adventures i have been doing and mischief ive got into!!. Miss you all lots!


Well anyway finally arrived on the Gold Coast on wednesday the 11th March after a day trip to Nimbin. Mel picked us up from Byron bay and on the way home took us to see Byron's famous light house!! We were staying with Melinda and Brett oh and not forgetting Byron the funniest dog I have ever met, for 5 days. What a blast...i think my liver now needs a rest! Melinda took the Thurs and Fri as sickies from work so we got taken around and shown places...places most tourists don't get to see unless your with a local. The first day we visited Surfers Paradise, it was ok....but very much a tourist place with that atmosphere like Southend Lol.....but at night...its great...had 3 great nights out there!! We had lunch at a beach called Miami, then that evening i went out for dinner and drinks with Ben (a guy Nicola and I met in malia about 2 years ago and Vikki stayed in catching up with Melinda.
Friday was mel's birthday ...we had planned to go out for the day to Sea world with a picnic but the weather put a stop to that for us!!! So instead we did what us girls do best and that's shopping...then went to watch Confessions of a shopaholic. Then came home and had our prepared picnic in the garden joined by Byron. That dog is just hilarious...Vikki jumped up to go inside for something and Byron was on Vikki's chair in a flash parked his bum down hoping to get some ham!!
That evening we went into Surfers Paradise for Melinda's Birthday drinks at Q1 which is an Observation deck its the highest residential building in the whole of the southern hemisphere. Great Views at night, just a shame the pictures didn't come out!! When the bar had closed most people went home but Vikki, Melinda and I went out to party at Melbas (a bar/club)...where we rocked the show by dancing like loonies all night!! Such a funny night and eventually crawled in about 5am i think!!
Saturday was a recovery day ..in the afternoon we went to Burleigh Heads for a picnic and we took Byron....we laughed the whole time he's like a fluffy teddy bear that all the kids just love him and these 2 little girls chased him around and around ...then another little boy was bouncing a ball...just as i said "if you like that ball little boy you best not bounce it near Byron as he loves balls"...Byron went bouncing over and bang the ball was in Byron's mouth. The kid had a fit and the mum and us 3 were in fits of laughter. The little boy then was too scared to have the ball back!! After our picnic we went for a walk along the front and Mel introduced us to Australia's great Ice Cream ...COLD ROCK! Basically you chose as many ice creams as you want and then pick sweets or chocolate to be crushed into it!! YUMMY!!! I was like a kid at Christmas in this place!! That evening Mel and Brett took us to see the glow worms at Natural Bridge. It was really dark which is how you see the glow worms illuminate the the trees just like fairy lights!! pretty amazing stuff! After the The 3 girls headed back into Surfers for round 2 of a crazy night!! We met up with the guys and girls we met in Byron bay, Matt, Ian, Gemma, Steve etc. Good night had by all!!
The next day was time to us to leave...was a sad day....Mel drove us to Brisbane but on the way we went to watch Brett play Rugby....then after Mel took us to Danielle's (Vikki's cousin) was our next stop.

Had a fab time on the gold coast ...great places to see and lots to do..only down fall was the rubbish weather!! oh and we got to the gym....ONCE!! Oh dear!!
