Up at 6.00 for a 6.30 start. I'm working with Joe today on Nam Chock, though Emily, Hannah ,joe and I decided to work together on Boonmee and Nam Chock. Till 7.30 we scatter fed and composted and collected dung. We also made the banana balls and fed them and soaked the fruit in potassium to kill off the bugs. Breakfast till 9.00, then everyone collected to compost from Nam Chock in a truck to be dumped up at New Lands. We then scatter fed and collected dung and compost from Boonmee and Nam Chock. We were then finished till 11.30 for the elephant baths. At 11.20, Joe, Emily and I chopped the 5 bowls of fruit needed for the 2 elephants for the afternoon. Joe and I then went to wash Nam Chock which took a while as she was filthy as usual. We then broke for lunch till 1.00pm. At 1.00 we took Nam Chock for a walk round the forest and Boonmee joined later on, Nam Chock does her own thing, while Boonmee has to be coaxed along with fruit. After the walk both Nam Chock and Boonmee were washed and their enclosures cleaned and they were scatter fed. This was all done by 2.15. We then had a break till 3.45pm when the enclosures were cleaned, they were scatter fed and given banana balls. At the end we created enrichments for them. For Nam Chock we hid the food between 2 tyres in a sack, then a net was placed and tied over the tyres. Joe, Hannah and I then hoisted the tyre onto a rope swinging from a tree.
