Had a cool day yesterday. Went down south of Ilha De Santa Catarina and found a beach called Joaquina. Lovely little beach. Around it were lots of little sand dunes were you could go sand boarding. I was crap, and broke the sand board (well, I think it was on its way out any how). Andy was getting the hang of it a little bit. Afterwards we had sand everywhere. Even after a shower I was still finding it. Last night it stormed and rainned all night. Had to dig my rain mac out again. In the middle of the night I woke up as it was still strorming hard, the room was so hot and the mosquitoes were bitting me everywhere. Andy has now got about 16 bites and I have about 14 (including 2 on my face!), and used my spray about 3 times before I went to bed though! Today we went on a boat trip to Ilha do Campeche, which is south of the Island. It is only a small island that has one beach, it was like being in Paradise. Beautiful clear water and white sand. We chilled out here for 4 hrs and then the boat took as back. Andy and I enjoyed the music on the boat so much, it was The Bee-Gees Live in Concert!!!! By the end we were even singing along - scary! The brazilians love any music from the 80's or early 90's. Very strange. Going to check out the local night club tonight, should be interesting.
