We drove for 2 hours this morning to get to Cesky Krumlov. The scenery was nice, but not as spectacular as Germany's country side. It was an overcast day, and that contributed to each passing town looking a bit grey and drab. I've been pleasantly surprised about the beauty of this town. Prague is beautiful . We have had a lovely day, walking around the old and the lesser town. Our internal GPS went haywire and we managed to spend more than half the morning disoriented. It was a blessing, because we wandered through some lovely streets with some amazing architecture. We managed to find a nice place to eat for lunch which served a fresh variety of salads, a scarcity since we have arrived. Of course, some sourdough bread too. This is bread heaven!...

What did we do before GPS? There were no maps folded out over the dash, no panicked screams of "turn here!". Instead, we flipped the lid on the car and calmly drove ourselves over the Czech border at headed for Karlstejn castle.
