We drove for 2 hours this morning to get to Cesky Krumlov. The scenery was nice, but not as spectacular as Germany's country side. It was an overcast day, and that contributed to each passing town looking a bit grey and drab.
I've been pleasantly surprised about the beauty of this town. It is like a mini Prague, with a town square, a castle at the top of the hill and beautiful renaissance and baroque architecture. The colours make this town look so bright and happy. It is world heritage listed and if you are ever heading to this part of the world, please come and see it, you won't be disappointed.
The food was great too; more of the usual fare and a special sweetener which is new to the palate. A krusta cylindrical pastry rolled in cinnamon, almond and sugar, with nutella (liquid gold) laced through the middle. It HAS to be better for you than a donut. Right!?!
Next stop.... Salzburg which is sure to be one of the highlights of this journey!
Na shledanou Czech Republic !
