We had planned on doing the Tongariro crossing today but the weather was rubbish so we decided to make our way back up to Jax's via Taupo for a picnic and Hamilton gardens. Hells pizza and packing!

We visited the Waitomo cave, which was beautiful to see all of the stalagmites and stalactites, but the highlight was definitely seeing the hundreds of glow worms. We did a boat trip through the cave and even though it was in the middle of the day it was like being under the brightest stars! We visited 90 mile beach, drove on the coastal road of Doubtless bay, had a lovely breakfast in the sunshine over looking the bay at Mangonui, went to Russell on the car ferry, Hururu falls and eventually got to Otorohanga where we stayed the night.

We hired a car for a few days to explore while Jacqui has to unfortunately go back to work. We had a few stops on the way but managed to drive all the way up to Cape Reinga to see where the two oceans meet! We arrived just after sunset but could just about see the line and hope you can too on our pictures.

We went to see the Lady Knox geyser go off before walking around the geothermal park, at Waiotapu. It was interesting to see all the strange but totally natural different coloured lakes, craters and pools. We then drove down to Lake Taupo where with some persuading Ang agreed to do a tandem bungy jump with me! It's the highest water touch bungy and on the second count down and a big scream we jumped!
