We were up early today, packing before we went up for breakfast where we had the usual copious amounts of coffee and toast to sustain us through the day. Just after 9, so as to avoid the rush hour traffic, we said our farewells, picked up our bags and made our way to the Metro station which thankfully wasn't too busy now. We managed to get on the first train that stopped without too much trouble and before long we were back where we had started 2 ½ weeks ago at the Observatorio stop next to the bus station. We soon found our way back into the station and bought tickets to return on the collectivo to Toluca Airport which for some reason were $0.50 cheaper this way! We sat in a cool, rather formal waiting room watching the people getting off the buses go by until we were let out to get on the minibus. An uneventful journey to the Airport but that gave us the chance to watch the wonderful scenery as we went by once more until at just before 11 we arrived and spent the small remainder of our Mexican money on a coffee before heading to Check-In. The flight was pretty much on time and when we got once more to Flauderdale Airport and through the ridiculously long immigration process ( nearly 2 hours!!) we thought it must be dinner time and as we hadn't eaten since the morning and wouldnt be likely to eat again until the following evening, we treated ourselves to a whole pizza (which is cheaper than 2 slices each I might add!!) which we slowly devoured with plenty of hot sauce, garlic and oregano on top!! Shortly after this we proceeded through to Departures once more and sat down to wait for our onward flight to Puerto Rico which left at 11pm. Unfortunately the Dunkin' Donuts had already closed so we couldn't share another coffee (or have dessert) so instead we had a look round some of the shops, laughing and wondering why it is impossible to buy any clothes here that would fit us...the size small is what would be at least large in the UK and they only get bigger, even the children's clothes are huge, just shorter and still too big for me or Andy!! Eventually it was time for our flight and once boarded and in the air we both fell asleep.
