Stevens Steakhouse.
Today was a Monday and as there is no dancing in Vegas we decided we should drive over to L.A. Which is only 270miles away to have a Bachata lesson with Jorge who we met at the Alaska Salsa Congress. The drive took most of the day and we arrived at around 7 just in time. The lesson was organised into two levels and included footwork and partner work. Both of us were pleased that he did some different stuff to what we usually get in the UK and pitched the class at a reasonably high level. Afterwards there was dancing on until 2am. The music was almost entirely Bachata although we did get about 3 salsas during the night. However the level of Bachata here is so much higher than in the UK that we still both had an awesome time and decided that it was the best night's dancing since Chicago. We left at about 12:30 as Mae's knees were hurting and drove to a rest stop to spend the night.
