My last two stops of solo-travel!!! After the week in Berlin, i spent 5 days in Wurzburg and Dresden, slowwwlyy but surely making my way to Czech Republic!!
On the way to Wurzburg, met a woman who travels 9 hours each weekend to see her boyfriend.. dedication.. made the train trip go quicker which was nice. Wurzburg was alright, there were sooo many churches it was crazy. To be honest though churches and cathedrals all look the same to me now.. i wouldnt have a clue how many iv seen lol. So with only one day to see the city, I managed to walk and see 'everything' in about 4 hours - not too shabby!! There was a coolish castle on a hill, were my train tickets managed to fly out of my pocket... Freaked out, running around the entire castle hassling everyone trying to find the tickets. Eventually found them thankfully. Got to cook Knudels!! Not that you guys know what they are, but trust me they are nice. Stopped off at the christmas markets, checked off a couple more christmas goodies off the list and then it was time to get ready for Dresden! Oh, and there were only 2 other elderly women sleeping in my room.. but they snored like no other snorer has snored before...they would put snorlax to shame.. it was driving me insane. But anywhos!!
Where do I begin with Dresden... was definately a different experience to what I thought the 3 days were going to bring me!! Ill start it with a negative. Do you guys remember me saying how my watch was stolen? Well, I discovered that he also stole my phone and charger! Cheeky guy... I had to laugh at it though, because that phone plays tennis with the 'power on' function. Itll turn on for 5 seconds, then restart, then go off, then turn on for 10 minutes (adz and luke would remember that); basically, he'll have more frustration then success from stealling it. So any way, i actually managed to get the hostel to give me a bike! They really, really advised me not to, saying I was crazy, but I had to give it a shot. I got a nice pink one (obviously, dur), and after a little getting use to, it wasnt so hard! I managed to ride around the whole city quite quickly actually; never knew bikes were so quick!! Had a lot of fun riding though, very difficult in the snow but possible. Then again, obviously the christmas markets, had some fairly big ones here, and also a medieval one; but mostly all the same stuff besides the decorations.
So last night in Dresden, I chilled with Pranav- a cool indian guy, and Viviane- a cute German girl who I both met in the hostel. Chatted away about anything and everything with them, and i found out Viviane can draw, so i asked her to draw me.. and she did!! It was so cool, it actually looks like me, i just hope that it doesnt smudge in my bag in the next month! :S Btw, definately another competitor for wifey-4-lifey
Tomorrow I meet up with my family! Exciteeeddd for that, so happy that they decided to come and see their stranded son in Europe :D And im really looking forward to Prague, I heard that its meant to be awesome there, so shall hopefully have some awesome nights with my bro!
