Tuesday 14th July

Not sure if I slept but I was good to lie down. When it's a more reasonable hour we get up and walk to the rental car place. The airport is cool with lots of appropriate decor like real life animals. Once we have the car we drive off into anchorage. We stop at Walmart to get breakfast and groceries. Then we drive around anchorage and spot at the cute log cabin info centre with grass growing on it's roof. We then drive around some more looking for an ATM. The best way to get money out seems to be banks. We head back into town and go on a shirt tour around the main spots. There sure are a lot of planes flying all the time! I get some Russian dumplings for lunch. We re check out some of the spots we saw during the tour. There is an extensive biking path that goes around. We spot and watch planes land and rage off. Sure seems busy. We head to the campground and get set up but a shower makes things wet. Thankfully later it's sunny once again and dries things out. After dinner is showering once again and we go for a drive and check out some spots. At the top of the hill are huge houses and a cloudy view. It doesn't feel right to be sleeping when the crazy Sun is still up and shining. It's cold too. Really missing a normal bed. Don't like feeling this awful all the time.
