Rather than write an extremely long blog post about all we've done over the past two weeks I though it may be best to summarise...
1 snake seen alive (just as it slithering in line with the passenger side tyre)
4 Germans that stole our beach shelter in Coral Bay, despite our towels being there.
2 dolphins fed by us at Monkey Mia.
3.5 billion years is the possible amount of time stromatolites have been on the earth, 10 minutes was the amount of time we watched 2 Chinese tourists walk all over them.
1 pelican seen in Kalbarri, 5 seen at Monkey Mia, lots seen on Greenough River.
10, the score out of ten that should be given to a gecko just for being itself, they are fabulous.
0, the amount of time you'd choose to spend in Carnarvon given the choice.
3 rays seen at Coral Bay, also home to 1 snapper that thought my toe looked tasty although many others didn't, they just looked pretty.
2/3 pint, the amount of drink that comes in a schooner sized glass.
150%, the relative cost of a schooner compared to a pint in the UK.
22000 km, the distance pedalled by Sam, who we met at Coral Bay, on a bike since leaving the UK in 2010.
0 turtles seen nesting while we were at a 'watch the turtles nest' evening.
10 turtles seen in the water close to the shore the afternoon prior to the 'watch the turtles nest' evening.
2 bottles of wine shared with Trisha, the Irish Brummy owner of Hamelin Bay Telegraph Station, and contractors Mike (who'd an amazing moustache) and Paul (who was almost incoherently drunk when we turned up).
10 kanga bangas (kangaroo sausages) eaten.
48 deg C was the highest temperature we saw on the
thermometer in the van, it was regularly over 40 during the days and 30 at night.
2 thunderstorms that woke us up at night, along with 1 mouse.
700km, the longest days driving Anna did, from Coral Bay to Geraldton.
5 emus that were working as a team to distract and steal food from campers at Monkey Mia.
3 monitor lizards seen - they call them goannas here and they are dark brown with creamy spots unlike the green ones in KL.
Very - skittishness rating of hole dwelling sand crabs that have eyes on stalks and peak them out of their holes before slowly emerging.
27 deg C was the sea temperature at Coral Bay.
4, the most number of times we refuelled in 1 day - the fuel gauge didn't really work so we just filled up whenever we passed a road house.
2 campsites that we had to leave in a hurry due to insane numbers of bees (Anna is going to do a separate post about this).
2 days late having pancakes because we didn't know which Tuesday was Shrove Tuesday.

Sally That's fun to read! Got your postcard from Singapore today. Thank you. Sally xx
Martyn Germans do not steal. It was theirs to take. Sand crabs sound awesome.
